Current Unit: Finding Your Spark
Essential Questions:
This odd rotation we will be focusing on the essential questions:
~ What is your spark?
~How can an area of interest develop into a formal, sophisticated research project?
Standards:
Research Standard: Students will conduct research projects to solve a problem, develop a position on an issue, or address a question
Speaking & Listening Standard: This student can participate effectively in a range of collaborative discussions as well as can present information that conveys a clear and distinct perspective at grade level proficiency.
- Review Research Rubrics for Gr 9-12 levels.
- Writing a Research Question PPT
- Example Questions
- TURN IN: Capstone Proposal (Seniors - share with Ms. Hane for approval in addition to turning in on Google Classroom.)
- Gather resources from the high school library website. GOAL: 5 sources in total
- Decide which sources to use for the annotated bibliography by reading and reflecting on how well they support your specific research questions.
- Take notes via NoodleTools.
- TURN IN: Works Cited
- Write annotations for each source.
