Course: Senior Personal Finance and Citizenship, Period 1, Group A

Course Schedule: Monday/Wednesday

Office Hours: Friday 8:00-9:00 AM, 11:00 AM-12:00 PM on Google Meet

Essential Questions:  How can budgeting help you achieve your financial goals? What does it mean to be an engaged citizen?

Standards/PIs:  Economics: I can evaluate the different strategies of money management. I can adjust my budget by analyzing different types of spending

Civic Engagement: Students will demonstrate an understanding of the rights, duties, and responsibilities of a citizen, including voting and the electoral process

Student Assignments: Money Management Unit Test (Monday); Salary-Based Budget Project (Due by end of the day on Thursday)

Standards/PIs:  Civic Engagement: I can consider multiple points of view and prioritize the pros and cons of those views to draw conclusions. History: I can trace the development of enduring themes and evaluate their impact on societal issues and trends.

Student Assignments: Backlash to Immigration: A Timeline of Xenophobia
(Due in class Wednesday). Immigration Policy Assessment (Due by end of the day on Thursday).
