Learning Targets: I can determine how much information is necessary to develop my topic. I can structure my writing to present my ideas clearly and logically. I can present information with logic and order, using visual media effectively. I can explain how the idea develops over time using specific details. I can explain the connections between literature and informational texts.

Student Assignments: Students will connect and apply their knowledge of the Hero Journey to their personal lives. This will allow them to make correlations between ancient myths and the world in which they live, as well as develop a greater sense of their uniqueness in the world. Due Wednesday, 10/7.

Learning Targets: I can evaluate the author’s point of view and purpose. I can identify a key scene or character in a text and explain why it is important. I can locate and present relevant information and supporting evidence.

Student Assignments: Students will be preparing for a summative assessment on The Crucible, to be completed on Wednesday, 10/7.
